Duties and Responsibilities

The UCL Institute of Healthy Ageing (Director: Professor Linda Partridge FRS FMedSci) is an interdisciplinary centre of excellence for research on the biology of ageing and ageing-related diseases.? For further information on the IHA, please see www.ucl.ac.uk/iha

We are seeking 3 post-doctoral workers to join a large interdisciplinary team investigating mechanisms of ageing in nematode worms, the fruitfly Drosophila and the mouse. The work is focussed on understanding how nutrient-sensing pathways control ageing, and the nature of the ageing process itself. These appointments will be primarily for work with C. elegans, in the laboratory of Prof. David Gems. Work will include genetic and genomic approaches, pharmacological manipulation of key molecules.
