holiday-gift-for-foodies-taste-of-home-best-loved-recipes-cookbook/

Last week I chatted a bit about my love of cookbooks and the delivery of Taste of Home?s Best Loved Recipes Cookbook when I shared the Parmesan Garlic Knots recipe. That recipe was just one of over 1,000 recipes inside this extraordinarily thick cookbook. It?s so big that the recipe index spans nearly 40 pages all broken down by dish types, ingredients and even the years the recipes were first published. Inside the table of contents you?ll find recipes broken down into sections including: appetizers, breads, condiments, holidays, pastas, mom made it best and many, many more.

What makes this cookbook ?best loved? by me is the fact that so many of the recipes require only a handful of ingredients and simple step-by-step instructions. While it?s not a photo heavy cookbook with only a few sections of recipe photographs, it sure is recipe heavy. It could take me over 4 years to get through the recipes included if I made a new one every single day.

This is one of those cookbooks that I could see myself passing down to one of my daughters when they get older. And it would make a great gift right now for the people in your life that love to cook. The Taste of Home Best Loved Recipes (hardback) cookbook retails for around $34.99 but you can get it on Amazon right now for less than $20. It would make a great addition to a homemade gift basket with your favorite ingredients, spices or cookies.
