Oregon Ducks football coaches receive raises for 2013

Oregon's new assistant coaches signed contracts this month and returning coaches received raises over their previous contracts.

New defensive line coach Ron Aiken, formerly with the Arizona Cardinals, signed a three-year contract worth $1.2 million. New wide receivers coach/passing game coordinator Matt Lubick, who came to Oregon from Duke, received a deal worth $975,000 over three years.

Lubick's compensation is spread out evenly over three years while Aiken will receive $300,000 in 2013, $500,000 in 2014 and $400,000 in 2015.

Head coach Mark Helfrich will make $1.8 million per year over five years, which would be a bargain if he proves to be as successful as his predecessor, Chip Kelly, who made $3.8 million in 2012. Helfrich made $367,000 last year as offensive coordinator.

Here's a look at the new salaries for Oregon's coaches. Defensive backs coach John Neal and linebackers coach Don Pellum do not have finalized contracts available.
