When Craig Morgan isn't busy singing country music, fans can find him on the Outdoor Channel hosting Craig Morgan All Access Outdoors. While Craig Morgan has a love of both great music and the great outdoors, he also has a passion for helping military families. It's that passion that has earned Craig Morgan the first-ever humanitarian award to be given by the Outdoor Channel.
Craig Morgan, an army veteran himself, spends much of his time working with the Folds of Honor Foundation. The foundation was begun by Major Dan Rooney, an Oklahoma Air National Guard pilot who was moved by the vision of a fallen soldier's casket and the grief of that soldier's loved ones. Major Rooney began the Folds of Honor Foundation as a way to give back to wounded and fallen soldiers' families by granting educational scholarships.
Craig Morgan's dedication to the Folds of Honor Foundation, including donating part of the profits from downloads of his song, What Matters Most, makes him a worthy recipient of the humanitarian award in the eyes of the Outdoor Channel. The award will be presented on January 17, 2013 during the 90 minute broadcast of the Golden Moose Awards.
